Messiah

I feel dead inside

this world isn't what I want it to be

not where I want to be

dark and unkind

  

Jesus light of the world

2000 years ago born, died, risen

but the world is still not what it should be

dark and unkind

  

Messiah was to come

unite the world, bring peace

but war looms, seemingly everywhere

where the stranger is unwelcomed

dark and unkind
